I’m posting this because it is basically designed for something that a friend of mine did a little while ago. I won’t go on at length but if you visit ‘the fast food tour’ or click the link on the right hand side you will find the reason for their journey. Basically it was gluttony. Mad. Bad. Gluttony. To try the local fast food in every state of America. They wanted it all. But if they wanted to repeat their feat, limiting themselves perhaps to only the Southern States then I got them covered. It’s called the Oral History Interactive Map Project from the Southern Food Alliance.
Basically, it allows you to plan a journey to take in hundreds of traditional Southern restaurants and calculates the best route. It’s basically like my hand stamp map (see top of site) but for food and done much better and…….basically just done much much better. Elsewhere on the site you can find out more about each of these eateries and if this information could be integrated into the map then we would have ourselves a complete winner. I hear Southern cooking is the best in the world. I really want to go see now.
